Finding Art

Framed Art

The form of the art piece consists of various attributes. The attributes are: framing is medium sized, brightly colored, highly textured, dense and complex, combination of colors, cadenced, flower shaped within a rectangular format, and lined together. The aesthetics of the piece is pleasant because it is somewhat symmetric and encompasses a blooming flower in which the pink color pops more compared to the surrounding background. The viewer should feel calmness and beauty. The content of the art shows life and death. The flower symbolizes life blooming and the color is distinguishable showing its uniqueness. The wood chips on the floor show death because wood chips are the dead piece of wood from trees that are scattered around or left behind. The flower is above the wood chips which show the horizon between life and death. Since our focus was the flower, it could still be art that shows beauty. You don’t need a frame or rectangle to focus on the flower in the bushes. Even if the rectangle is not present before or after, the flower will still be there continuing to bloom. Not all bodies of objects are art but when you present it as art and symbolizes something more than its surface level meaning, it can be art. Art isn’t magically created but anyone can interpret an object as art with the right meaning and description. Art can be something other than an object. Not all art needs a subject; abstract paintings don’t have a subject and that is still art with meaning. Art does reside in the experience of the viewer as long a viewer can interpret it. Art can be everywhere and the viewer experiences art in different ways.
