The experience I had doing the finger painting activity was like being back in elementary school. I haven’t painted or done anything artistic in a long time so it was like going back in time. The experience was not hard or easy; it was different. I wanted to paint some object but I know for this activity it had to be abstract so that component made painting different. Also using my fingers instead of a brush was different as well, it felt messy. I think painting no subject made it frustrating because painting “nothing” didn’t feel right to me. Comparing my painting to other paintings that look similar made me understand what an artist must go through to make something abstract. The art style looks so similar that I could say my painting was made by a famous artist to someone and that person would believe it.
